Dr. Kaganiec-Kamieńska holds a Ph.D. in Sociology (Jagiellonian University, 2006) as well as M.A. degrees in English language and culture and the Spanish language (Silesian University). She is a member of the Latin American Association for Linguistics and Philology (Asociación de Lingüística y Filología de América Latina, ALFAL), the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP), the Polish Latin American Studies Association, and the Polish Association of Hispanists. She has been a visiting researcher at: the Universidad de Puerto Rico-Río Piedras, San Juan; the Cuban Research Institute (Florida International University), Miami; the Center for Research on North America (the National Autonomous University of Mexico), Mexico City; and San Diego State University, among others. Dr. Kaganiec-Kamieńska has received grants from the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission (2017-2018), the Kosciuszko Foundation (2004-2005) and the Society-Environment-Technology Program of the Jagiellonian University (2013, 2015).
