Susanna Frederick Fischer

An introduction to the US Supreme Court and the most interesting cases of 2019
 
Susanna Frederick Fischer is Associate Professor of Law at the The Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC. She received her legal education at Merton College, University of Oxford and the University of Virginia School of Law. Susanna has practiced law on both sides of the Atlantic, as an English barrister and a New York attorney. Her primary areas of practice and her main research interests are constitutional law, copyright law, art law, and media law, from a comparative law and human rights perspective. At Catholic University, she serves as director of the International Human Rights Law summer program in Rome, Italy, and is co-faculty advisor to the Seigenthaler-Sutherland First Amendment Moot Court competition.  She has also served as law faculty in summer schools at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland, and the University of Lisbon, Portugal. She is a fellow at the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University. She has published many articles and book chapters and presented frequently at many international and national conferences.
