The transferred institute's holdings include an American studies book collection related to broadly understood American and Canadian matters. This collection was established thanks to a grant from the Andrew Mellon Foundation, donations from the U.S. Consulate in Krakow, and numerous grants from the Copernicus Society of America. The Canada-related collection was amassed thanks to the efforts of our institute’s Department of Canada. There is also an extensive collection on migration, national minorities, identity, borderlands, and refugee and Polish diaspora studies.
