The Latin American Studies Academic Circle

operates within the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora. Its last reactivation dates back to 2009.

The Circle's objectives are:

1. increasing knowledge and skills of students;
2. the development of students' academic life
3. developing academic cooperation with other academic centers;
4. promotion of the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora;
5. to promote knowledge in the fields of: Latin American culture and history of the Central and South American countries
6. training their members to become future reaserchers.

In addition to organizing meetings and conferences, the Circle is oriented towards the promotion of knowledge about Latin America, inter alia, by organizing various cultural events and is currently holding  an increasingly popular film showings "Meeting with Latin American cinema" or photo contests.
