On 31 August 2020 at Libraria of Collegium Maius a ceremonial transfer of authority was undertaken at the Jagiellonian University during which Rector elect Professor Jacek Popiel, Vice-Rectors and new Deans of sixteen faculties were granted their posts. Professor Paweł Laidler was appointed Dean of the Faculty of International and Political Studies replacing Professor Andrzej Porębski.
During the next four years (2020-2024), Professor Paweł Laidler will be responsible for managing the Faculty and he will be working with three Vice-Deans, Professor Dorota Pietrzyk-Reeves (Vice-Dean for Research and International Co-operation), Professor Ewa Trojnar (Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs), and Professor Dariusz Niedźwiedzki (Vice-Dean for Human Resources and Finance). The new authorities will soon share with us more information about their plans and goals. We wish them every success in running of the Faculty, integrating its community and dealing with the current challenges.
